Panel on the prevention of misuse of weapons – Eurocrim conference

The Flemish Peace Institute participates in the annual EUROCRIM conference, organized by the European Society of Criminology. The Peace Institute coordinates a panel on the prevention of the misuse of weapons. Researchers Quitterie de Labbey and Matteo Dressler are giving a presentation on the theft of weapons in Europe. Researcher Nils Duquet, together with Toine Spapens (Tilburg University), will discuss the ways in which terrorists acquire weapons in Europe.  Marieke Liem (Leiden University) will elaborate on firearms in Europe. Elke Devroe, director of the Flemish Peace Institute, moderates the panel. More information and a detailed program will be available in July 2019.
