Facing the World Today: PEACE, a Network Uniting Peace and Conflict Scholars Across Europe and Disciplines (with Merel Selleslach)

Location
Lille Catholic University

The Pan-European Conference (PEC) on International Relations of EISA 2024 will feature a variety of thematic sections, high-profile plenary sessions with leading experts, workshops for early career researchers, social events, and professional development activities. The event challenges the traditional view of ‘the international’ as merely interactions between states, exploring where and how international relations occur. This spatial inquiry raises important questions about what constitutes knowledge in international relations, whose contributions matter, and the risks involved in finding ‘the international’ in unexpected places. EISA PEC2024 invites participants to collectively explore and challenge conventional boundaries in the field.

Our researcher Merel Selleslach will give an introduction about the new network PEACE, uniting peace and conflict scholars from around Europe.
