Robin Vanderborght (°1994) is a researcher with the Flemish Peace Institute. He holds master degrees in Law and International Relations from the Universities of Antwerp and Lyon. He did an internship at the Belgian Permanent Representation to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which is based in Vienna. Afterwards, Robin returned to the University of Antwerp as a doctoral researcher, where he worked on a doctoral dissertation examening the legitimation of nuclear weapons and other military applications of emerging technologies, like artificial intelligence.
In August 2026, Robin joined the Flemish Peace Institute as a researcher. His research focuses on dualuse technologies, the rising defence expenditure, arms contol and export, and nonproliferation.
