Amidst increasing global conflicts and tensions, the UN Secretary-General introduced his New Agenda for Peace last year. The Agenda calls for states to re-engage in good-faith diplomacy in order to restore peace and security worldwide. On the occasion of the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, the Flemish Peace institute, together with PATRIR and Toda Peace Institute, invite you to participate in a webinar exploring the implementation of the New Agenda for Peace.
We will explore new and innovative approaches aimed at improving peace. The webinar will showcase specific examples of peace initiatives, including the contributions of small states to global peace and security, the significance of youth in preventing conflicts and building peace, and how environmental practices in the Pacific region contribute to peace and security.
Meanwhile, a brand new Flemish Peace Institute analysis Peace in foreign policy: peace nations in times of crisis is available here.
