The PEACE Research Community Europe is an open, trans-European network that connects researchers in peace and conflict studies. The Flemish Peace Institute plays a coordinating and founding role within this initiative. The project is supported by the COST Association (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) and funded by the European Union.

As part of this network, the PEACE Webinar Series is organized. The second session will take place on Thursday, 6 November, and will focus on Peace & Climate, highlighting the bridge between science and policy. This session will explore how scientific research can contribute to policymaking on climate-related risks to peace. Topics such as environmental governance, humanitarian crises, and the role of science in peacebuilding will be discussed.

The programme features a moderated conversation led by Gianluca Brunori (University of Pisa), with contributions from Paula Duarte (University of Coimbra / CES), Halvard Buhaug (PRIO / NTNU), and Caitriona Dowd (University College Dublin). The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to ask questions.
