The 2022 edition of the Stockholm Criminology Symposium brings together scholars on understanding the mechanisms that cause, promote and offer desistance from crime.

Two members of the Flemish Peace Institute will present their research. Nils Duquet attends to new trends in firearm trafficking that erode the closed nature of the illicit market and their impact on criminal and other types of gun violence gun violence in Europe. Dennis Vanden Auweele discusses the guns that have been used in public mass shooting events over the last twenty years in Europe.
