EUROCRIM: Project TARGET – Connecting Illicit Firearms Trafficking to Firearm Violence

An important source of firearms for criminals is firearms trafficking.

For Project TARGET we investigated the exact impact of illegal trade on gun violence. In this panel we look at the different forms of illicit trafficking (Nils Duquet), the different ways in which firearms can become available (Dennis Vanden Auweele) and we discuss firearms violence and illicit trafficking in two national contexts, notably Belgium (Quitterie de Labbaye) and Netherlands (Katharina Krusselmann).
